Happy Medium for everything
Medium to large
9 to 14 pounds (Male), 7-11 pounds (Female)
15 to 20 years
A complete and balanced cat food should be sufficient for their needs. Make sure that the cat also stays hydrated.
Easily trainable to use the litter box and learns what you do not want it to do.
Requires a moderate amount of exercise. However this exercise is not high intensity as it can be as simple as walking or playing with a string. Laser pointers will also do the trick.
Comb the cat once a day, espeially for the long haired Persians. This prevents tangles and matting to remove loose hair. They also need to be bathed at least once a month. This will keep shedding to a minimum.
Their facial structure makes the breed more susceptible to respiratory issues, misaligned teeth, excessive eye watering, and heat sensitivity. They can also develop ringworm, hair loss and kidney disease.
Persian cats are like Amerian Shorthair cats. They are a moderate size and they are not overly cuddly but they aren't distant either. Don't let that fool you though as they are loving cats. They atually require a little more attention than American Shorthair cats. They adapt well with other animals and people. They have prominant shoulder blades, a broad chest and a belly poucch. They also have muscular legs. They have a medium to large inverted pear shaped head, medium-sized ears and large, wide eyes that come in several colors. Their fur comes in over 80 different colors or patterns yet silver is the most common as it started out that way before breeding.
